Hans Egger

Before joining the financial planning industry Hans Egger gained valuable experience as a Management Consultant with Price Waterhouse Urwick and as National Marketing Manager for Australian Associated Press (AAP) in its Information Services and Financial Services departments.

It was his role at AAP, developing new markets for distribution via the Internet, that would later open his eyes to the possibilities of web based interactive information and efficiencies.

Hans became a financial planner in 1998, starting his own practice in 2001. Over 14 year he built this practice into a successful business based in North Sydney and then sold it to concentrate on the growing AstuteWheel business. Hans remains active in the financial planning business.

Recognising a gap in the tools available to him to effectively engage with his clients for initial meetings and review meeting,s Hans, in conjunction with financial services marketing executive, Michael Topper and financial planner Andrew Wardle developed the ground-breaking online client engagement platform, The AstuteWheel.

Hans holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), the Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance, the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and Certificate IV in Mortgage Lending. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and is a current member of the FPA, AFA and FINSIA.

Hans is currently studying the Doctorate of Business Administration

Estate Planning is, in many cases, treated by financial planners as an afterthought… a couple of questions about whether the client has a Will or Power of Attorney and if not, then a cut and paste addition to the SOA advising the client to see a solicitor and get the documents in place. It adds little to the client /planner relationship and it is usually deemed all too hard and not particularly lucrative.
